Buying raw dog food
in bulk.

A bigger box is not automatically a better price. Compare pack weights and prices per pound; current free standard shipping has no order minimum in the continental U.S.

By Revival Raw. Prices and shipping policy checked October 7, 2026. Automated editorial and calculation review by Codex.

Revival’s 16 lb Platinum Blend pack costs $120; the 24 lb pack costs $180. Both are $7.50 per pound at the one-time prices checked for this guide. The larger pack buys more of the same product, but does not lower its unit price.

That is the first check to make when buying raw dog food in bulk: divide the selected pack’s price by its listed net weight. Revival currently offers free standard shipping with no order minimum in the continental U.S., so buying more is not necessary to unlock free shipping. Applicable tax and discounts still belong in the final comparison. The examples below use Revival’s current frozen products so you can follow the numbers back to a specific pack.

Already have a shopping target for more than one dog? Use the multi-dog order planner to subtract existing stock and convert the remaining quantity into whole packs.

Compare the actual pack, not the word “bulk.”

These are the pack labels and one-time prices shown in Revival’s current product catalog. The product name in each row links to its source. Availability, price and offered sizes can change, so select the exact variant again before checking out.

Notice that the largest box in this comparison is not the most expensive. The 30 lb Beef 80/10/10 pack and both 25 lb poultry packs each cost $193.50. Box price alone hides that five-pound difference.

Does a larger size of the same recipe save money?

For the Platinum Blend, the answer at these one-time prices is no:

  • 16 lb pack: $120 ÷ 16 = $7.50 per lb.
  • 24 lb pack: $180 ÷ 24 = $7.50 per lb.

The 24 lb pack adds eight pounds for another $60. That is more food in one pack, with no per-pound discount. Both sizes contain two-pound tubes; the larger pack has twelve instead of eight.

Compare an equal total to make this even clearer. Three 16 lb packs cost $360 for 48 lb. Two 24 lb packs also cost $360 for 48 lb. Either selection contains 24 two-pound tubes. With current free standard shipping in the continental U.S., either combination is $360 before applicable tax or discounts.

Choose between those combinations based on the pack selection you want and the actual checkout total. Do not assume fewer shipping cartons or different delivery timing just because you selected fewer packs: an order’s pack count is not a verified count of shipping cartons.

The same box price can buy different weights.

A $193.50 Beef 80/10/10 pack contains 30 lb, giving $6.45 per pound. A $193.50 Whole Carcass Chicken or Whole Carcass Turkey pack contains 25 lb, giving $7.74 per pound.

At the same $387 product spend, two beef packs contain 60 lb; two poultry packs contain 50 lb. That is a purchasing comparison between different recipes, not evidence of a discount for buying more of the same recipe.

Unit price tells you how much product weight your money buys. It does not establish nutritional equivalence, suitability for a particular dog or how many days the order will last. Keep those decisions separate from this box-size calculation. Once you have selected a product, compare its available sizes on the same basis.

Free shipping does not require a bigger order.

Revival’s current shipping policy provides free standard shipping on frozen and freeze-dried products in the continental United States, with no order minimum. The policy covers one-time purchases and new subscription orders. Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and international destinations are outside the current coverage.

For Platinum, one 16 lb pack is $120 plus $0 standard shipping; one 24 lb pack is $180 plus $0 standard shipping, before applicable tax or discounts. Adding the extra eight pounds increases the product spend by $60. It does not unlock a shipping saving because the smaller order already qualifies.

Likewise, the 48 lb comparison stays at $360 plus $0 standard shipping whether you choose three 16 lb packs or two 24 lb packs. Choose the amount that fits your purchasing needs, rather than adding packs to reach a delivery threshold that this policy does not have. Pack count does not establish how many shipping cartons will arrive.

For an eligible order using standard shipping, calculate:

Order cost per pound = (product subtotal − applied discounts + applicable tax) ÷ total pounds ordered.

If checkout already shows a discounted subtotal, do not subtract that discount again. For the 48 lb order, $360 ÷ 48 = $7.50 per pound before tax. Any applicable tax changes the final figure; this guide does not assume a tax rate or promise a tax-inclusive total. The terms and final checkout summary govern the amount you pay.

For an existing subscription, check your next renewal summary and contact Revival support if its shipping line differs. Existing subscriptions keep their locked-in product pricing and existing shipping charges. If a new eligible standard-shipping order shows a fee, ask support to clarify it before paying.

Keep subscription pricing separate from pack-size savings.

A recurring-order offer and a larger-pack discount are different things. When comparing sizes, first price both as one-time purchases. If you want a subscription, compare the recurring prices actually offered for those same selected variants.

The current Platinum allocations show $108.00 for the 16 lb pack and $162.00 for the 24 lb pack on the listed recurring plans. Both work out to $6.75 per lb before applicable tax; standard shipping is free in the continental U.S. Choosing the larger size still does not add a size discount in this example.

Confirm the purchase type before paying. A lower recurring price comes with future renewals; it is not simply a cheaper one-time order. The subscription guide explains the available schedules, account access and change deadline.

Use this bulk-order checklist before paying.

  1. Match the product and variant. Write down the recipe, pack weight and tube count. A product’s starting price may belong to a different size from the one you want.
  2. Compare the same total weight. For Platinum, two 24 lb packs and three 16 lb packs are both 48 lb. Use equal totals when checking whether one combination saves money.
  3. Record both prices. Keep the product-only cost per pound beside the final checkout cost per pound. A product saving can disappear when the order total changes.
  4. Check the package footprint. Pounds measure weight, not freezer volume. If fit is uncertain, ask Revival support for current package dimensions before choosing a larger order. No package dimensions or freezer-capacity estimate are assumed here.
  5. Confirm purchase type and quantity. Verify one-time versus recurring, the selected pack size, number of packs, destination and final total on the order summary.

Save that summary. It gives you a specific basis for comparing the next order, including the selected weight, product price, applied discount, tax and shipping line.
